Why does my download say 720p when I wanted 1080p?
Instagram only keeps the sizes the creator uploaded, and many Reels top out at 720p. We list exactly what exists for that post. If 1080p is there, it's the one we pick for you by default.
Can I save from a private account?
No. If a post can't be seen while logged out, InstaDownloader can't reach it either. We never ask for your Instagram login, and nobody else should either.
Do you keep the videos I download?
No. The file passes through our server to your device and isn't saved anywhere along the way. The Vault shelf of recent downloads lives only in your own browser, and Clear history removes it.
How do I get just the sound?
On any video, pick the Audio only chip. We turn the sound track into an MP3 while it downloads. The size is marked with ≈ because it's worked out from the clip's length.
How do I save a whole carousel?
Paste the carousel link, then tap All as ZIP next to the Download button. You can also save single slides with the Save button on each one.
Can I paste several links at once?
Yes. Tap Batch under the link box and paste up to 10 links, one per line. Each one gets its own card, and Save all ready grabs them in one go.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in any modern browser. On Android you can also install InstaDownloader from the browser menu and share links to it straight from Instagram.
What does 'Instagram is busy right now' mean?
Instagram sometimes slows down requests for a short while. Wait a minute and try again. Your link is fine.
Am I allowed to re-post what I download?
Only if you own it or have the creator's permission. Saving a clip doesn't transfer any rights. When in doubt, ask the creator and credit them.
